1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

"UMLang" refers to the UMLang website, Android application, servers, software, and all related services.

"User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Services.

"Account" refers to a registered user profile created to access certain features.

"Subscription" refers to a paid license granting access to premium features for a specified period.

"Content" includes text, subtitles, translations, vocabulary, settings, educational materials, software, graphics, and other information made available through UMLang.

2. Eligibility

You must comply with the laws applicable in your country or region when using UMLang.

If you are under the age required by your local laws to independently accept these Terms, you must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before using the Services.

3. User Accounts

Certain features require a registered account.

4. Subscription Services

Some UMLang features are available only to users with an active subscription.

Each subscription grants access to premium features for the purchased period only and does not transfer ownership of any software or content.

Subscription pricing, plans, and available features may change in the future. Unless otherwise stated, such changes will not affect subscriptions that have already been purchased.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use UMLang only for lawful, personal, and educational purposes.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unauthorized commercial purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to UMLang systems or servers.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract protected portions of the software.

Violation of these Terms may result in suspension or termination of your account.

6. Educational Content and Subtitles

Some subtitles or educational resources available through UMLang may originate from publicly available sources or community contributions.

Although UMLang continuously works to improve the quality of its educational content, we do not guarantee that all subtitles or translations are accurate, complete, synchronized, or suitable for every purpose.

Views expressed in subtitles or third-party materials do not necessarily reflect the views of UMLang.

Users may report inaccurate, inappropriate, or copyright-infringing content for review.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights related to UMLang, including but not limited to the software, design, user interface, trademarks, logos, databases, source code, and original content, remain the exclusive property of UMLang or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, license, or otherwise exploit any protected portion of the Services without prior written permission.

Ownership of third-party content remains with its respective owners.

8. User Responsibilities

By using UMLang, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
• Use the Services responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.
• Respect the rights of other users.
• Refrain from uploading or distributing unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or malicious content.
• Avoid any activity that may compromise the security, stability, or availability of the Services.

You are solely responsible for all activities conducted through your account.

9. Service Availability

UMLang strives to provide reliable and uninterrupted services. However, we do not guarantee that the Services will always be available without interruption or error.

Temporary interruptions may occur due to:

• Internet connectivity issues
• Security incidents
• Force majeure events
• Technical failures beyond our reasonable control

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UMLang shall not be liable for service interruptions caused by such events.

10. Service Modifications

UMLang reserves the right to:

• Introduce new features.
• Modify existing functionality.
• Remove features.
• Update the user interface.
• Change subscription plans or pricing.
• Improve or discontinue parts of the Services.

These changes may occur without prior notice when reasonably necessary for the operation or improvement of the Services.

11. Suspension or Termination

UMLang may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the Services if a user:

• Violates these Terms.
• Attempts unauthorized access.
• Engages in fraudulent or illegal activities.
• Circumvents security measures.
• Uses the Services in a manner that may harm UMLang or other users.

Where reasonably possible, users may be notified before permanent account termination. However, immediate action may be taken when necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Services.

12. Subscription Cancellation and Refunds

Users may choose not to renew their subscription after the current subscription period expires.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or explicitly stated in a separate refund policy, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the purchased subscription has become active.

Cancellation of a subscription does not automatically delete your UMLang account.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UMLang makes no warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Continuous availability
• Accuracy or completeness of educational content

Your use of the Services is at your own risk.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UMLang shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to:

• Your use of or inability to use the Services.
• Loss of data.
• Internet or device failures.
• Third-party services or content.
• Security incidents beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

UMLang is not responsible for the availability, content, privacy practices, or policies of third-party services. Your use of such services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or operational practices.

The latest version will always be available through the UMLang website, and the "Last Updated" date will indicate when revisions were made.

Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the applicable laws governing the operation of UMLang, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

Any disputes should first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith communication between the parties before pursuing formal legal remedies.
